Lol, you might want to check up on where Britney's singles peaked that era (radio boycott or not, the impact to the general public was what it was).

Britney Spears' success was on a whole other level than GaGa's.

But it's still way to early to tell. GaGa's been famous since 2009. That's only 3 years. We can start having this conversation during the fall of 2013.

Britney's drop of popularity was MASSIVE in comparison to her previous albums.

That's true. Britney Spears is also the fastest selling female artist of all time I believe.

Both are great performers and entertainers, but I think Britney had a much bigger impact than GaGa 100%

But Britney was able to transent her impact past music. She caused a huge impact without having all the #1 singles all the current girls have. That speaks a lot on her impact, she didn't need all those chart toppers for her music, image to still be huge!!

She's a trendsetter even when she's underperforming.

Nicki Minaj is basically the Black version of her. Katy has dressed a little eccentrically from time-to-time within the past year. Every popstar is chanting "be urself!@!5" when they previously didn't.

They've had like the same impact. Gaga is losing fast but she can recover everything again with another The Fame-esque album.

Hun what i mean is, she has anything on her favor to succeed (biggest fan base, amazing performances, best label, social power, super big name-brand, she's on her twenties), she just needs to compromise to it, be willing to make commercial music again, it's not like she ruined her career.

Well, I know she lost a lot of her younger fans she started out with because her music + image matured with her third album and she was finally legal. But I wouldn't say her popularity had a "massive" decline seeing as how her third album opened with big sales and even Madonna had to push her album back. Mtv also did a whole show special around her. She was boycotted at that time but she still was the main focus of pop music and was also heavily in the media. The interest was still there. That era also brought some controversy.

I doubt there's anyone in the world with regular media exposure who hasn't at least heard Gaga's name.
