Sometimes religion can be so contradictory. It teaches its adherents to be accepting and tolerant of everyone for who they are, yet the Pope makes claims such as this. I find it rather shameful because I am a Catholic, although not practicing. I rarely go to church and I disagree with a lot of the rules it enforces. I don't have a problem with gay marriage and nor should the next person, regardless of faith. If two people love each other and wish to live a life of happiness, then so be it. Sexuality really shouldn't really come into the equation, but sadly it does. Love is what should signify marriage. Not gender, sexuality, race or culture. Nothing is an excuse.
