Christina says the album is a BIG record, very fun and happy and has 2 differents worlds into it. Linda has about 9 tracks on it (including interludes), DJ Premier has about 6 tracks and the album has 23 tracks in all. She also says they are discussing the promotion of the record and before she goes to the big arena tours, with all props and all, she is going to do a mini-tour to promote the CD. The concept of this mini-tour is just the band and a mic on small lounges and intimate venues, just to sing on an small intimate places on a few selected places through the US. The ideia is to go "back to basics" with everything related to the record: image, songs, lyrics and this mini-tour.

That's great! Is the album really confirmed for a June release?

It's most likely an end of summer/beg. of fall release. So I'm guessing anywhere between June and late August!

Yum! Her album sounds like hotness.

According to Amazon.com right now, it's supposed to come out June 13th, but we all know how Amazon is with thier correct release dates and so....I can't wait to hear new music from her.

23 tracks is too much. The reviewers will attack her on too much fillers. You can smell the record company don't really believes in this album. And me neither. Stripped was a good album, but I'm glad that after "back to basics" flopped she'll just make a record full of good pop songs instead of pretending to be a serious artist that is desperate to prove she's the best singer in the world.
Stripped was worth my money, but I won't buy this one. And I don't expect a surprise from the clips that I've heard. Damn, Christina after working so long on this record couldn't you come up with something better? She also should've moved away from Linda Perry. Linda Perry is great, but she should have picked another collaborator.

23 is TOO MUCH!! 16-18 is just fine.

anyway, I think the album will be great! I like long albums. Stripped was long, and it was awesome! I never skipped a track! Xtina knows what she is doing. She knows how to make good music. She knows what appeals. If people would just stop attacking what she is doing before so much as even hearing the album in it's entirety, then maybe they would have something to look forward to!

she said that this album will be a "Double Album." Not sure what she means by that. idk if she means a dualdisc type thing or what

Double album meaning the "back2basics" sound along with whats she's known for. I can't wait for this album...I wish the song would leak already cuz that clip just got me wantin to hear it full. I'll be goin to the mini tour and the world tour if this album is as good as she promises.

anyway I think it will be at least decent. it's starting to look better (though I didn't like the ANOTM cut we heard a few months back).

Yeah a double album is dual disc

"A double album is an audio album of sufficient length that two units of the medium in which it is sold (especially records and compact discs) are necessary to contain the entirety of it."

Well with the amount we pay for CD's (excluding those who have shops with low price CD's in the States, haven't seen any of those here or heard of them anywhere else) the more the better, as long as it sounds good, I don't mind.

Keep in mind, that there will be some interludes, so this album won't have 23 songs per say, probably about 15-20 somewhere

AHHHH Can't wait it's been so long. I have to respect her though, she and Britney came out at the same time and Britney had the bigger immediate success....but I think Christina will have the career longevity, because she spaces her releases out. Very smart.

Christina's official website has confirmed that the new album will be released on August 15th, and the single on June 12th.
