Katy Perry won't be making an appearance at the People's Choice Awards, the singer revealed on Twitter on Monday.
"Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the People's Choice Awards. I want to thank u all for voting for me, fingers crossed! #KATYCATS," she tweeted.
The "Fireworks" singer has seven nominations at the annual show, including Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Song of the Year, for "E.T." It would've been her first public appearance since the announcement of her divorce from actor and comedian Russell Brand.
Brand filed for the split in December, citing "irreconcilable differences."
"Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I'll always adore her and I know we'll remain friends," he said in a statement at the time.
Perry took to her Twitter page earlier this week to thank fans for their support during her personal difficulties.
"I am so grateful for all the love and support I've had from people around the world. You guys have made my heart happy again," she tweeted on Saturday, before taking aim at the media. "Concerning the gossip, I want to be clear that NO ONE speaks for me. Not a blog, magazine, 'close sources' or my family."
The People's Choice Awards are set to air on CBS on Jan. 11 at 9 p.m. EST/8 p.m. Central.
