Really? Maybe you guys are using them wrong. I have more things to talk about when I have someone added on Facebook! I can go 'Oh, they just posted 'I H8 LADI GAGA' so I shouldn't talk about Gaga round them' or something...
I think Social Networking is great on the ego + making more friends. It makes you feel connected. Of course some egos get too big, but if you have self confidence issues having a FB/Twitter definitely helps
I have like, maybe 8 pictures on my Facebook. Meanwhile my friends have entire albums that have hundreds of pics in them. I've never been a photo kind of girl, and social networking won't change that. Though I wish others would understand it
I agree, I have like 12 pictures on my Facebook. I don't understand the fascination with documenting every day of my life in photos and uploading it for the world to see. Leaving a large Internet footprint scares me to be honest, especially when potential employers have access to it.

A lot of people have replaced face-to-face interaction with communication via social networking sites. I don't have a Facebook or a Twitter, and when I tell real-life people that I'm not interested in joining either site just to talk to them, they're all like "oh". And that's the end of it.
I only check Facebook like, a couple times a month though. None of my friends are ever on anymore and it seems like for everyone, or at least everyone I know, Facebook is beginning to lose appeal. I can, and do, contact my friends other ways.
And I agree about there being no reason to have all those pictures...maybe it helps since I'm a guy...but I only have 30 pics over like 2 years, and I didn't tag any of them.
Like I said in your blog, definitely. Everytime I go to Twitter or Facebook I always see shirtless profile pics. I also see guys and girls taking pics and their overly dressed with sunglasses on looking like a celebrity and if a person with low-esteem sees that, they will feel insecure. Same goes for Youtube. I see some Youtubers all glammed up just so they can do his or her commentary.

People are lucky if I post a new photo twice a year. It scares me too....I don't want to be stalked by anyone. Some people will have a party and then post 3 or 4 albums of photos from it. Here's us setting up the food, setting up the food from the other angle, getting the dishes out, getting out the chips, now we're pouring the soda..... I mean, give it a break
