Just saw the new changes to Music News. I must confess that I'm extremely irritated with all these changes; I understand why they're being made, but it's annoying.

The Speak Now album thread and 4th album anticipation threads are both closed; as far as I'm aware, "Taylor Swift receipts" in the Charts section and this thread are the only remaining places open.

It's not even worth making an Ours single thread; we can just keep everything in this thread... That is the point, after all.

It's sad to see that thread go, but that means I won't have to switch between the Safe and Sound and SN thread.

I can't imagine Taylor auditioned for talent shows like A.I.
One thing in my mind if she didn't get a contract is, she would go the festival route until she get one, even if it's from indie label (hell she even signed to an indie till now! BMR any1?). Most of established artists today were discovered from festivals like SXSW. Glad that she only needed the cafe/bars shows to snagged one, so she could started earlier than others. :shows2:

Even tho the chances are slim, I still hope someday I can go to watch Taylor at festivals like Pitchfork/NOJazzFest/NewportFolkFest. The closest one to my dream is the next country fest at Ottawa in August (and maybe another CMA Fest). It's just the beginning hopefully.

If Taylor were to audition for AI, I think she won't even make it to hollywood week. It is after all, a singing competition and we all know Taylor's average to good at best in that regard.

Yes. Like Taylor said in Journey to Fearless, Scott Borchetta "wanted her on his label before he even had one."

That's why her first two album eras were so huge; she was the first- and at one time, only- artist on BMR.


Also, ATRL feels so much more boring now that this is essentially the only thread I ever have to follow.

i dont think she'll release enchanted now.....safe and sound is gna stay on charts till like late april.....and near -july-august she's just gna slay us with her lead single...!!!

oh the speak now tour dvd was so amazing....one oof the best concerts of all times....!!! so elaborate and perfect i felt like crying by the end...!!!

and journey to fearless was so good...especially cz it was intersticed with taylor giving her views and stuff.......

i swear every new thing i listen see or read for taylor...i fall more and more in love with her.....she is so awesome!!!

I know I shouldn't get mad at these things but man,I really want 'Enchanted' to become a single. I must have posted my opinion on this many times, but it's getting to breaking point.

It isn't all that clear in the first verse, but the second verse makes it ridiculously obvious- a reference to being told you can't sing that well, a reference to "getting a mugshot to sell yourself to the world" and the phrase "American girl," the name of the song played every night before Taylor takes the stage.
