Music News should just be for music news -- Dev confirms Ke$ha Collab. Lady GaGa announces new album.

Then a third new forum needs to be added for all those "Britney Loves Her Fans", "Beyonce stans are the dumbest", "Is Britney or GaGa"more respected" type threads. They're cluttering base and pushing down the artist threads.

I mean...wouldn't this be easier? I don't even remember the last time I looked at the 4 thread.

This sure is a stupid change. Bases are too cluttered to have any actual discussion about an album itself, so unless you allow Bases for specific albums, you're going to have a lot of upset members who won't be able to properly discuss their favorite songs.

I'll just learn about the changes as they take affect.

I will say though, if this restricts people from seeing new releases and/or promoting the album or single, I won't like it as I've found new music thanks to this forum. I don't want to browse through Base looking for something I don't know exists.

Yes but if the thread list just looks like "RIHANNA. LADY GAGA. BRITNEY SPEARS. KATY PERRY," you wouldn't necessarily know what project they're working on without opening the thread. Whereas before, you could look down a list of threads and see "RIHANNA - TALK THAT TALK. RIHANNA - 10th ALBUM ANTICIPATION. LADY GAGA - BORN THIS WAY." etc. and know who's doing what, and THEN you choose which threads you open.

It's only the new music I am concerned about. The actual discussions don't bother me as I don't stan for any of these people.

Can someone explain to me why my "Gaga Announces 2012 Album" thread was closed then? It was a news headline about her interview on Access Hollywood where she mentioned an album this year, not an attempt at an album anticipation thread.
