If thousands of people were illegally coming into Denmark (I'm assuming that's where you're from?) and taking your resources, you would be concerned as well.

And when you're undocumented and live in a country that by law is obligated to treat you when you arrive in the emergency room, you don't need those health benefits either. America is the only country where you can "Press 2 for Spanish" and have people on staff designated to cater to your foreign needs. Any other country would simply toss you out in the cold.

This is correct. The problem isn't really about illegal immigrants so much as it's about American's who want cheap labor and way they can get it. They will out source jobs to Asia in a heartbeat if they can spend less money on their workers and pay them cheaper labor as a way to increase their profits. Illegal immigrants scabbing work in the country is just a side effect to consumers wanting to pay less for the work they want and pocket the extra money.




The poster has a point though, the illegal immigrants are taking jobs that other American's don't want and wouldn't be caught dead working for because American's feel they are too good for them. Who is going to go pick corn for a farmer in Iowa at 1 am at night for 30 cents per pound? Not any American citizen I know of. Same for cheap construction labor where 40 Mexican men get a thousand dollars to share for their weekend worth of work.
