Kelly Rowland set the charts ablaze last year with ‘Motivation’, going on to earn critical acclaim with its accompanying album ‘Here I Am’.

And in looking to keep her momentum afloat, the 30 year old has hit the recording booth with the brainchild behind Rihanna‘s monster hit ‘We Found Love’ - Calvin Harris.

Confirmation of the collaboration comes via Rowland’s recent feature in This Is London magazine, which saw the her recount her storied career, as well as her future plans.

Although, it’s unknown if the pairing is for the singer’s new album (reportedly due this year) or for Harris’ project, it’s certainly a mutually good look.

An established force here in the UK, Harris’ profile shot up considerably after the mammoth success of ‘We Found Love’; success he’d love to continue and success Rowland would greatly welcome.

I guess that's true but Here I Am was pretty good (i mean it was cookie cutter no doubt, but a good album...Ms. Kelly was better). I'm not OPPOSED to dance kelly, I just hope she has some R&B in there too (it probably will).

Dance Kelly never fully took off stateside, though. The reason I'm pulling for more R&B kelly is to help her possibly gain relevancy in the US. Motivation was an urban smash...and stations will play her "follow up" lead single. I remember reading she was working with Rico Love again so I guess it will be a mix of pop & r&b

I know, I hope she has a good solid album full with urban, pop and dance hits, that way the album can do it's work in US but also can create what she left with When Love Takes Over in Europe (since she still has not released a single from HIA in a lot of Europe country's) and go on to gain in UK, what HIA brought there.

With the promo she is getting in Europe, this could be huge for her.

Can't wait for this.

Motivation did good because Lil Wayne was on it and because the song was kinda good. I also think they played it more because Beyoncé had a single out also and they wanted to shade Beyoncé. Because I mean Motivation did amazing but Lay It On Me did worse than Countdown. People are not really her for Kelly as an artist. She has a few hits but the public never really buys her album. So I can see this song doing very well but again it won't really help her new album. Maybe I'm wrong and I hope I'm wrong. I want Kelly to be successful.

lay it on me was not handled well at all though. The song was doing ok on rhythmic...but it hadn't been released to any other formats and the music video was held off until the song had already peaked. Lil Wayne definitely played a part in Kelly's success, but it wasn't the sole determinant. By the time the label decided to take action it was way too late. That's why I hate HIA's single era. She had the potential to have decent success especially off of motivation, but the label pretty much ruined everything

How is Kelly a bandwagon? When she was the Main one doing dance music before everyone started to jump on it.
