But if you compare to the rapidly increasing end of year sales of the Hot 100 to the Billboard 200 end of year sales...... #justsaying
Album sales are still important, I won't say that, but singles are becoming more popular than albums if they aren't already. Fact.
Now there are the exceptions such as Michael Buble, Gaga, Adele, and Lil Wayne having pretty decent album sales that have exceeded their single success. But the majority of the industry isn't finding success like they did with CD's ten years ago.
It was my mistake, discard that post.
