I could see you giving her the EMA's and MuchMusic since those award shows are virtual non-events. But Gaga was completely overshadowed by Beyonce's pregnancy in any and all aspects for the VMA's and there were tons of artists, performers, tributes and appearances on the VMA's that night. It's ridiculous to credit her for that ratings spike. Add to the fact that the VMA's have been growing each year since 07' and I think your entire stanbase has even less of a point. The ABC Thanksgiving special had less then 7 million people tuning in.
and as it's been said there were numerous things happening on New Years Eve for it all to be credited to Gaga. But you will all see what you want to see.
