It's time to have a thread for THE ORIGINALS
Wonder Girls will release their long awaited english album this spring and will also be the stars of their own TV series titled "The Wonder Girls" set to air on the super popular groundbreaking channel, TEENICK
Confirmed Tracks
The DJ is Mine
Be My Baby
Nu shoes
Confirmed Producers/SongWriters
Darkchild
Claude Kelly
Wynter Gordon
Crystal Nicole Johnson (Rihanna's "Only Girl in the World)
It's no longer called At the Apollo, it's simply "The Wonder Girls" Mini series - like the ones on HBO. Nick Cannon changed it because he realized how flawless the girls are.
On January 11th, they will premiere the music video for "The DJ is Mine".
and I HAVE NO CLUE on the soundtrack/album thing. Some are saying it's 2 separate albums but some are saying it's like "Glitter" soundtrack( solely on concept not on quality).
I'm interested to see what they record with Darkchild and other American producers. Their Korean material is weak compared to other K-Pop girl groups in my opinion. Hopefully they change things up with these new producers.
I can't wait tbh, but I would rather them go with a lot more new english material this time around than just translating their Korean songs into mediocre childish songs. Even though the OST movie is suppose to air on teennick i'm glad that Teennick is not like radio disney or Disney channel. So they'll be in the right market. Much better promo than BoA's american attempt.

Yeah there's not much info. WIkipedia says that it will be the OST=Album, but since they changed the name as well you just never know.
Stanned so hard for Nobody back then. Also loved Tell Me and So Hot.
What about 'Be My Baby"?

BoA's promotion was a mess, and it's sad because that's when I first discovered her. I really hope JYP knows what radio adds means here because it's not like in Korea where you release the single/video/cd on the same day.

Have you not heard 'Me in"?

And also a remix of Nobody, please. That song is my ****. It's just a little weak for the 2012 market.
We already got like 23242431 remixes do WE REALLY NEED MORE?
Also I just found this,

With regards to Wonder Girls' future plans, Yeeun said that they will be releasing their 2nd album 'Wonder World' in the States and followed by a world tour. Yeeun also added that the Taiwanese fans are very warm and if an opportunity arises, they would like to have a concert in Taiwan.
I think this means that there will be a soundtrack and A NEW album that will be titled "Wonder World", kinda like how SNSD have their debut korean album and debut japanese album (the same title).

This. The US music industry is kinda eccentric in the sense that it relies more on radio than any other music industry. Plus songs tend to gain steam slowly and not peak until months after their release. Whereas in other industries, songs peak almost immediately after release. I hope JYP understands this by now and markets to radio for an extended period of time instead of just releasing the song on iTunes and judging the results after the first week.
