I swear I have seen every damn matchup in some poll over the last 5 - 10 minutes. Beyonce vs Gaga, Gaga vs Riri, Riri vs a Potted Plant, Apples vs Oranges etc etc.

All I'm saying is that when we had a specific section for Polls, not everyone and their dog wandered in there and posted a basic poll. Instead, we had fewer, more well thought out polls that pitted interesting choices against eachother and required more thinking than just blind stanning. Polls have now spilled over into every section of ATRL and as a result mindless, repetitive polls are now the norm. And worse, every single one seems to turn into a stan war before even one page of replies shows up.

Given that I'm speaking about polls - what do you prefer? Polls in their own section (how it used to be) or Polls every damn place (like it is now)?!?!

It's too much.

The fact that there has to be a polls to get rid of polls says enough.

The separate poll forum was better. I still don't get the point of this Base thing.

We've gone back and forth with the polls many times in ATRL's history. Maybe eventually they will have their own place again.

This thread would have a point if polls were actually allowed everywhere on ATRL, but that's not even close to being true, so...........?

They should put the poll section in games like a little section like they used to be.

Poll section was good. Sometimes I enjoyed opening poll section and voting on random polls or to just see results of an old poll etc.

You can't do that anymore.


I think non-news celebria section needs to be merged into the Lounge and celebria-news can be merged into music news and simply renamed to news.

I'm sure it will get annoying in a month but I like it now. I also feel that people will calm down with the polls at some point also.

P.S. The premise of this thread is still not true unless you think Base and The Lounge are "every section" of ATRL.

I think it's fine. Though I never scroll down more than half a page as a general rule.

It's a little messy, but it's nothing we can't handle.

People really don't use the categories enough. They're like subforums, but better.

Yeah, you get all the advantages of a sub-forum (you can get to see only one type of thread by itself) without any of the disadvantages (you don't have to go into the category to see those threads if you don't want to).
