2 of my most anticipated CDs of '06 are finally coming tomorrow morning. Wolfmother and Pearl Jam will certainly find their way into my collection. Tool is a maybe at this point. With Godsmack, Eagles of Death Metal, and Yeah Yeah Yeahs already blowing away expectations of everyone, rock is surely the format of spring. If Red Hot Chili Peppers can release a strong 2nd or 3rd single, I might pick that up in the upcoming weeks. I know they get lumped in with Goo Goo Dolls, Sugar Ray, etc. as bands that started strong and went pop/rock. But there's always hope for a comeback.

All of those you mentioned are good except for Yeah Yeah Yeahs who I find very boring and I haven't heard Eagles Of Death Metal or Wolfmother yet. Tool will certainly do well and I expect many people to buy it the day it comes out.

You're stubborn. A single is not going to determine what the rest of the tracks sound like, quit being a sissy and check out the album. What the hell do those bands have to do with RHCP? That's also the first I've heard of such a comparison. Whatever they did, oh well, the whole going back to your roots idea is stupid. It shows the inability to evolve and forget what made you a band in the first place. A certain band I know and love tried to recapture the glory days of the mid-90's and failed miserably. Sugar Ray and The Goo Goo Dolls are horrible, but for the people who want them to downgrade themselves to when they were probably not even 21, are gonna have to keep waiting. If they suck now, tough ****, go listen to the old albums. That can also be said for Metallica, who once said: "moving back instead of forward seems to me absurd."

Never got into the Yeah yeah Yeah's. Not to hate, but their kind of music bores me. I like upbeat songs. So yeah,..,,

YYY's are definitely not boring, and RHCP has certainly brought back the funk on this album. It's actually quite something.

And their are 28 songs on the album? So don't judge based on 2 singles.
Just buy it.

So someone needs to get Brian Littrell's new CD..... I have been waiting for at least 5 years for that thing, but now that it exists I think I have moved on from my favorite BSBoy.

Okay, I didn't want to waste my time yesterday, but here we go:
Smash, first off, YOU HAVEN'T HEARD ALL 28 TRACKS FROM STADIUM ARCADIUM. Despite that, you're still assuming that it's By the Way 2, or this time, a doubled-up By the Way. I'm only telling you this for your own good, so people don't think you're more of an idiot than you already are. Listen first, then judge. A single, doesn't determine ****.

A few more things: Godsmack haven't shown any growth whatsoever, so you shouldn't be complaining. By the Way is their worst-selling album. Who cares? That doesn't mean the MUSIC is bad. The Downward Spiral is nine inch nails' best-selling album, but I can say that The Fragile is better MUSICALLY. It wasn't even at 900,000 in US sales around the time With Teeth came out, and it's from 1999, but why are you gonna let the sales tell you how good it is? Please, give up, that's for weak people.
