Just because an album didnt get an AOTY nomination doesnt make it not critically acclaimed. The grammys gave iasf 9 nominations, despite getting beyonce's lowest score on metacritic.
Born This Way got more critical acclaim then Rated R..
Rated R was never nominated for Album of the Year and placed 6th in the best albums of 2011 according to Rolling Stones
WRONG, Rated R never entered in anyones worst albums of the year lists unlike BTW whos named ive seen pop up in a few worst of lists of 2011 and its got better reviews from critics and just because a album doesnt get grammy nominations doesnt mean its not critically acclaimed either.
The adventurous, progressive dance album that introduced a new, fresh sound to mainstream radio, creating a new genre, setting a high bar as the standard for pop music in 2011 that no one managed to keep up with.
Give me some of that good stuff. Don't hog it all. Is it Kush?
To be fair, albums released as late in the year as Rated R don't usually appear on year end lists unless they are the obvious frontrunners (i.e. Kanye in 2010.) I think that it would have gotten more attention that way if it had been released earlier in the yer.
