Apparently, the religious father is under orders not to speak about the divorce.
Keith Hudson was grocery shopping in California last Friday when he was approached by paparazzi, "I can't talk... I can't talk to you. Sorry about that," he said.
TMZ previously reported that due to her parents religious belief, Katy wanted Brand to file for divorce.
The former couple announced their divorce last Friday after being married for a year and two months.
