Leona's range is just as limited as Adele's, just at a higher octave. She doesn't do much vocal acrobatics with her voice either (other than using her head voice , which Adele also does with ease). I hate Jessie J's tone too much to unbiasedly judge her, but I can't tell you that she doesn't properly belt her notes (she becomes extremely shouty) and her runs are very very far from impressive or even tolerable.
I agree in terms of him selecting the wrong singers to justify his claim. But I still think there is merit to his point. It seems that we understand each other though.
And since when is the older generation more intelligent than us? At the very least, I'd say were far more educated and adapted to the current world than the previous generation.
Well, that doesn't really make any sense and I don't see how it's relevant to anything. Obviously if you're born and raised into in era, you adapt much better to it instead of somebody coming from a different era trying to adjust and keep up with the times.
Really? So the article says NMT deserved to smash? Really? She was doing too much singing? Really? It was no way "a solid record with all the elements of a club hit." It was a flop song hated from the beginning even by Christina fans. Just like "Run the World"...I mean what were they thinking?
