Here's a crappy review I made yesterday at another forum...
"SOS" is quite the hit right now and people actually know who's singing it lol. The single looks to be become a bigger hit than PDR, internationally & thankfully. "SOS" is a far better track than "Pon De Replay." I also feel that "Unfaithful" will only continue to propel her career. I can see it becoming a huge hit in the U.S. I don't know how it live up to "SOS" internationally, though, but it'll do something for sure.
Anyway, I got the album yesterday and it continues to grow on me. Let me start off by saying the album package is f'ing hot! Other than "SOS" & "Unfaithful", there is surprisingly a good amount of single material on the album. Both "Break It Off" w/ Sean Paul (which looks to be the 3rd single) and "We Ride" can become an instant radio smashes, even crossing over to Urban radio. "Kisses Don't Lie" is a track that fuses her signature soft reggae-pop and a dash of rock. I can definitely see it becoming a hit on Pop radio, worldwide. A ballad that could easily become a prom smash, "Final Goodbye", could also be a single. The last possible hit on the album would have to be "P.S. (I'm Still Not Over You)."
Not to say that the album only holds 7 good tracks, but to be honest, those 7 tracks are more radio friendly in comparison to the other 5 tracks (6 including the bonus). "A Million Miles Away", "A Girl Like Me", and "Dem Haters" feat. Dwane Husbands are all great songs. AMMA is a stripped ballad that allows her voice to shine without any instrument but a piano, AGLM is a a great fuse between R&B and soft reggae, and DH is a typical but good, anti-hater track.
The only 2 songs that don't do it for me are "Selfish Girl", which is just plain to me, and "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" feat. J-Status, which carries some pretty crappy/generic lyrics. The bonus track, "If It's Lovin' That You Want Part 2" feat. Corey Gunz is actually a hot track. I wouldn't have minded if it was an official album track.
