Girls Aloud were an English-Irish pop girl group formed through the ITV talent show Popstars: The Rivals in 2002. The group comprised singers:
Cheryl Cole:
Kimberley Walsh:
Sarah Harding:
Nadine Coyle:
and Nicola Roberts:
The group's musical style was pop. Throughout their career they experimented with electropop and dance-pop, and their collaborations with Brian Higgins and his songwriting and production team Xenomania earned them critical acclaim. The group was one of the few UK reality television acts to achieve continued success, and they are listed as the "Most Successful Reality TV Group" in both the 2007 and 2011 editions of Guinness World Records. They also hold the record for "Most Consecutive Top Ten Entries in the UK by a Female Group" in the 2008 edition. The group were also named the United Kingdom's biggest selling girl group of the 21st century, with over 4.3 million single sales and 4 million albums sold. In March 2013, after their successful greatest hits tour, the group announced their split.

Love is Pain PROBABLY should have been the second single from Out of Control. It was where radio was heading; The Loving Kind was where radio was ten months prior.
