Britney Spears. Her appeal is simpleness. Don't take it as shade, but Britney's gimmick is the American Girl Next Door. Similar to Katy Perry. Britney is supposed to give the impression that she is the kind of girl who likes cooking, long walks on the beach, romance family, friends, and will still have time to make her man dinner when he gets home. You know, what is considered "normal." People have an easier time connecting with normalcy...Add onto the fact that no one is listening to what Britney has to say, but what her A&R team believe want to hear...
Gaga is the kind of person who may sleep in a coffin or wear an outfit made out of bowls to sleep. She bathes in blood. Her image is more complex than Britney's. But the great thing is that Gaga is able to pull people who may get her appeal into her circle of influence. They may not understand her, but the point is they're listening
