I think it's a great idea. I think Base should just be for the artist threads though...it's going to get complicated when people start posting their breakdowns, etc...on top of it.
On top of that, if the Base forum is just for the artist threads -- it can be organized in alphabetical order to prevent duplicate threads + everyone can find their base easier.

If you click the Fan Bases A-Z category in Base, then you already have just that.

I don't like this idea. The polls will now be a lot harder to find and less people will post them, and it's too much threads in one place. I would have nothing against bringing polls back.
