I got the Beatz by Dr. Dre headphones for Christmas. The sound is excellent but not so much so that I will throw away my in-ear Bose headphones, because those still are great as well. Also, if I listen to the Beatz for about twenty minutes, they really start to kill my ears. I don't know why they are so uncomfortable.
I know this wasn't directed at me I've never had that issue, they feel perfectly natural. Of course if you play your music too loud your ears will start to hurt lol.
My only complaints are:
1) The sound leaks. It doesn't affect me at all but I could never wear them in school or anything (not that I'd wear them there anyway)
2) The fact that you have to change the batteries every 24 hours of use. Make sure you always turn them off when your not using them because if you leave them on overnight you're ****ed.
3) They're not wireless. I've gone through probably 10 replacement cords because they always get frayed or the sound just stops working in one ear.
If you realllly didn't want to spend $300 I can link you to a site with fakes for about $60. They could be worth it since they're 1/5 of the price but the sound probably won't be as good.
The effect with WFL only comes through if you have them up somewhat loud. The bass in the chorus with all the little sounds is

I had the tour and they stopped working after like 3 months then i got the one with the huge red cable and they broke after a month... the tour was official, from best buy.. after they broke they i kept buying and return them n they all broke after a few weeks.. this says a lot about the built quality of these.. back to using the headphones that came with my phone and their still working, 2 months after the phone stopped lol
Yes I have a pair, yes they are amazing! I try and only use them for certain things, like **** + HD movies though.. I'm afraid to like, take them out running, etc. Be careful with them + make sure all your audio files are HQ, and I'm sure you'll love them

Wow, that sucks. My technological investments have an atypically elongated life, primarily because I make sure I'm the only one who uses them haha.
