How spot on were my predictions for last year? I should run a career as the music’s answer to Mystic Meg! In late 2010, I predicted Rihanna and Matt Kemp would split up. I predicted Mariah Carey giving birth to a boy and a girl. I predicted Ciara leaving Jive Records and signing to another label. I predicted Janet Jackson would have a very successful world tour. I predicted Nicole Scherzinger will see some success in the UK but not the US.
I predicted Nicole would be announced as an X Factor judge for the US. I predicted Chris Brown’s comeback would be successful. I predicted Rihanna would get another movie role. And lastly, I predicted Jennifer Lopez would encounter success with her new single, but not with the album. As for 2012, who do I think will thrive? And who do I think will end up eating humble pie? Let’s just say, I feel there will be a lot of engagements this year.


1. Nicole Scherzinger career will come to a standstill (again)
2. Mariah Carey will have a more successful comeback than previously
3. Janet Jackson will announce her engagement to Wissam
4. Christina Aguilera’s will have a #1 song
5. Rihanna will switch to either Roc Nation or Epic
6. Beyonce will announce new album at the end of the year
7. Fergie will announce her pregnancy
8. Justin Timberlake will marry Jessica Biel
9. Rihanna will release ‘Where Have You Been’, another #1 smash
10. Kelly Rowland won’t be a judge on X Factor UK
11. Cassie’s album will actually see a release. Hurrah!
12. Christina Aguilera will get engaged
13. Chris Brown will face impending fatherhood, win a Grammy
14. Jessie J and Nicki Minaj will collaborate
15. Will.i.am will flop. No one cares.
16. Willow will flop, album won’t see a release
17. Beyonce’s baby will have a French name
18. Adele’s album will hit 20m in worldwide sales
19. Usher will have a huge comeback single
