The last time I just said "800 Pages!" which was like a few days ago. God, when will the other threads?

I'm a Media Production student, so somewhat.

wasn't it the guy who did that thriller with brad pitt called Seven ?

Yeah, the guy who worked with David Fincher who is the king of awesome cinematography (Zodiac, Fight Club, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo). I am baffled as to how badly it turned out.

Well, like, ****. That's the point. You're not supposed to notice her. She was a nobody. She wasn't a giant popstar at that time. She had a meteoric explosion and literally came out of nowhere. All of the sudden she was the center of the attention. I interpreted it as her rise to fame.
Again, easily her most honest music video to date. The cinematography reflected the emotions and experiences. It's why the shots were so beautiful. The imperfections make them perfect because they actually represent something.
|
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSs, thank you for understanding that. People were like, "OMG, she wasn't even the center of attention during the dancing scenes" and it's like, "The point is for her to blend in because she's just another girl in a dance class."

Well, did you expect movie-type cinematography in a music video?

It doesn't need to be cinematic, just good. Marry The Night is by far her worst video for cinematography.

The story is simple. Stefani recovering from a suicide attempt after she was dropped from her first label, then morphing into Gaga.

There are some other bombs dropped in the music video that are open to interpretation, but yes, this is true.

Sometimes, I think we over analyze and Gaga just sits there and ki accordingly.

I know you'll call me delusional, but I love every single video of this era.
Born This Way remarked the idea that she was born this way, and that she's a complete mind**** (literally, the little heads she was giving birth to are her different selves) Overall it was a great video and I loved Rico and the Madonna/Michael bastard son. Judas was epic, the water scene, the lipstick gun, the dance, when she's stoned to death. Loved it
The Edge of Glory was meant to be that simple, because I think she wanted to prove she can do different stuff once in a while. Everyone at the moment was like ''she's pure gimmicks on her video'' and she proved them wrong. You and I was lovely, but Boomkack's thing for aerial view just annoys me. Loved Jo, Nymph and all of them.
Marry The Night, in my opinion, IS THE GREATEST GAGA VIDEO EVER CONCEIVED UNTIL NOW. The nurse there was a symbolization of the model that appears in the Born This Way video, aiding Mother Monster to give birth and thus consolidating the concept of being born again. Loved the visuals, the passion, everything.
This era as of now has been very rewarding to me.

Does anyone else wonder what songs like Poker Face and Paparazzi would sound like and what the videos would look like if she created and released them in this era?

Gaga stans really do the most.
I doubt a Katy Kat even knows what cinematography means.
Are the videos bad because the single underperformed or did the single underperform because the video was bad should be the question brought up.

Some more Gaga ballads would be nice, actually. But...not like You and I. I love that song and all, but I got sick of it pretty quickly and I'm over the performances.

BoomKack pleasantly surprised me with Y&I. The use of rapid sequencing was really cool. It made it confusing, but that was the point.
