So Avril and Ciara both had unimpressive eras compared to their previous ones, and both have shifted to Epic in hope to re-ignite the starpower they once had. Epic Records looks to be putting a lot of money into both acts with LA Reid forking out cash for the likes of The Runners, and Bonnie McKee.
These two girls will be battling it out in 2012 to be Epic's cashcow and effectively making them the star of Epic Records.
SO who will have the better comeback to the top? Avril or Ciara?
I don't see Ciara making a comeback, her last song I hear on radio as probably around 06.
Avril on the other hand had atleast 1 hit radio single, and 2 others that atleast extended her radio presence. Plus Avril has stayed in the public eye while not many people remember Ciara
I think Ciara will do better in the US.. But Avril will have moderate success still and be the bigger star World Wide next era.
Also Ciara hasn't had a hit in a long time so many people may have forget about her, At least with Avril people know she's still making music and still around right now.
I think Avril could potentially come back very strong...it will depend on if she goes back to her roots that made her popular to begin with or stays with the "Pop brat" style.
If she does the first option she could be one of the biggest artists of 2012...if not she will be forgotten. I blame her label for Goodbye Lullaby's failure though. IMO, the album had potential but then they killed it by forcing her to add songs like What The Hell & Smile...and then release them as Singles.

Ciara just had a radio hit last year. and a top 10 song in 2009.
