Interscope has no real reason to "reign in" Gaga because she will sell out a tour pretty regardless of how the general public percieves her.

Why are you acting like this isn't a big deal? The music 50 would release would obviously be from his new record. If he releases it free, Interscope is losing on that money. They PAY for the studio time for their artists. They won't see a single cent from the songs.

Wouldn't the label have the rights to any material he's recorded for a new album? I don't think he'd be able to give anything owned by the label away for free without facing some pretty major legal consequences.

If he's releasing another mix tape, I suspect it's probably self-funded.

I don't understand why a rapper as big as 50 cent would have a rift with his label ,just release the first single and see what it does on the radio and billboard charts for christ sake, it's been 2 years since his last one.
