I love her! Torn is all around amazing!!

She was on Power 105 today while I was in Driver's Ed. I barely paid any attention to the road but I did well even though I was focused only on the interview lol. She seems like a great girl and she talks about DC in a very positive light. Her material for "LeToya", her self-titled debut album, is really consistent. It actually surprises me.

I was looking so forwared to this album but i dont like Torn at all. Not impressed.

Letoya is the true "Survivior". Everyone assumed it was over for her but ultimately she became the victor. Early publications casted her down as being "tone death" and "not being able to hold a solid note". I won't mention who made those assertions but I will say were completely and utterly wrong!!!! This girl is an amazing vocalist...She can hold her own among the better singers..She is just starting but with more success and more albums you will see her evolve in the manner of Kelly R. and Bee. I always thought her, Kelly and Bee made the ultimate DC combo because of their vocal prowess. I am glad Letoya finally has the chance to show her abilities. Many forgot she co-wrote "Bills, Bills, Bills", "Say My Name" and "Bug-a-Boo" to name a few. She a winner, no matter what the soundscan!! There u have it...Support Letoya!!!

Letoya definitely has a lot of potential. I think her follow up singles will be the true test. She has a few radio friendly songs (All Eyez On Me being the main one) and at least one for the club (Gangsta Grillz). Her live performance wasn't that horrible, she performed on Soul Train previously and did relatively well so I think the CDUSA was just a bad day.

I read that when they first started DC she was going to be the rapper of the group but she learned how to sing. They compared her to T-Boz.

Oh and by the way CampKuchiKaiai I love the avatar!

It's a shame that LaTavia isn't doing anything. I really liked her voice, especially in "Sweet Sixteen" from WOTW.

exatcly what I was gonna point out! You can tell, just be listening to her, that she has all the potential in the world. Do I think she is gonna be as big as Beyonce, heck no. Espcially with a song as sub par as "Torn" being released as the lead single. But I do think that if she plays her cards right, she can match Kelly's sucess.

Toya was my second favorite from DC b4 she got da boot LOL...and I've kept an eye on her myself and I love just about all of her leaked songs. She's NO competition for Beyonce but she's another one to add in the fight between Kelly Rowland, Ashanti, Ciara and Christina Milian. Torn is real hott, so yeah she's ok. Her performance on CDUSA however was a hott damn mess.

I definently think she has what It takes. Her mixtape was the **** and she has plenty of songs that could be single choices, which we can't say for some certain Destiny's Child members (*cough**KellyRowland**cough*). She knows her audience and she isn't trying to bore us like Kelly is.

"All Eyez On Me" was greta when I heard it a year ago; but I ist back and listen, and I think it's actually appalling. She has better material (Good, She Don't, Gangsta Grillz, What Love Can Do, and U Got What I Need) but as long as she doesn't pick the WRONG single choices and proves herself, she'll have some sucess. And that means keeping songs cuch as "All Eyez On Me", and "Hey Fella" as singles.

I heard her next single was "Gangsta Grillz"; can anyone confirm that

She doesn't need a rapper. A song's success is no longer determined if a rapper is or is not featured.

And Arith, I can't confirm it but whenever she performs "Torn", she usually peforms "Gangsta Grillz" as well. Though I think it has one of the sickest beats in a long time, I don't want it to be a single just yet. She needs to release another R&B mid-tempo, IMO.
