ANDY GRAMMER
" Keep Your Head Up" Days: 68 Peak: 5
From Hot Adult Contemporary Radio to CHR, this song is made to be a hit. I like his voice plus the optimism of what the song exhibits. Excited to see his next music video, Fine By Me which is expected to chart in next year’s year ender.
FABER DRIVE
" The Payoff " Days: 27 Peak: 1 (1)
No one expected this to hit #1 in my daily countdown, but it did fortunately during the early weeks of this year. Can they pull another surprise next year with another catchy track?
GLEE CAST
" Loser Like Me" Days: 44 Peak: 1 (2)
The glee cast scores an entry in my top 150 this year. Though the song that really defined glee was Don’t Stop Believin’, this track (an original one) for me is up to par with their defining rendition.
THE SCRIPT
" Nothing" Days: 31 Peak: 1 (1)
Last year’s #5
Still placing inside the top 100 in this year is last year’s 5th placer Nothing by the Script. Goes to show I was in love with this song from the last year of 2010 to the first quarter of 2011. Still few tracks from this awesome band ahead.
JASON DERULO
" Fight For You" Days: 8 Peak: 1 (3)
Jason Derulo managed to finish in a decent position despite charting only 8 days (so far) in the countdown. Thanks to his amazing run by finishing the last three days before the cut-off all at #1.
LIL WAYNE
" How To Love" Days: 81 Peak: 3
The first song that I really loved from Lil Wayne, he should start releasing tracks similar to this and avoid too many collaborations. (LOL).
TAYLOR SWIFT
" The Story Of Us" Days: 90 Peak: 8
I actually thought that this could pull a “You Belong With Me” in the charts but it underperformed a little bit. My admiration for this lady did not diminish though, I still love her and her songs.
PARAMORE
" Monster" Days: 78 Peak: 2
Last year’s winner of Favorite Group still managed to place inside the top 100 with a song off the soundtrack of Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Hoping for a decent 2012 for this band.
AVRIL LAVIGNE
" What The Hell " Days: 77 Peak: 2
She came back with this kick ass song that shows her funky side (which I really like). As usual this crazy chick has no signs of aging, still a punk goddess in terms of beauty and attitude.
FLORENCE + THE MACHINE
" Dog Days Are Over" Days: 14 Peak: 1 (3)
Last year’s #41
Just down 20 spots from last year is the first of two entries of Florence + The Machine this year. This song is just EPIC!
