Does Ashanti have anything out this year like an album or a movie....?

The girl should've been smarter with the last 2 alblums. (But I do give kudos to the Only You music video, that was cool.) I thought she did well in Coach Carter though.

It wasn't a flop it was a remix album chill out. I think Ashanti has said she's been working on tracks for her new album since late 2005 and kept a lot of things off the remix album cuz they were too hott. I think a new album will definitely be out from Ashanti by the end of the year.

She needs to part with Murder Inc. and get some new producers, cause we all know she has what it takes (Foolish, Rain On Me, Only You)

she has a new movie coming out with Jesse Metcalfe called "John Tucker Must Die" or something like that... a new album is in the works for later this year.

Like another poster stated, Ashanti has another movie coming out. It's called "John Tucker Must Die."

Music: Ashanti's contract at the INC. is up. Her contract included a 4 album deal. The idea to release "Collectables" (her FOURTH album) was to only finish up her contractual duties. I think we can take a hint and realize Ashanti wanted to separate herself from Murda INC. just as much as her fans did.

Now onto rumors: She's been recording some material and has moved to another label. I don't know which label but I've heard she is signed to Atlantic. She has apparentley been working with or is going to work with Diddy in the studio.

I can only hope she goes for a harder East coast, Hip-Hop Soul sound and also does some more of her signature, laid back East coast R&B that was so abundant on her debut album.

Thank god, Murda was tearing her down.

sounds good!!!! I mean, I have wanted Ashanti to release herself from Murda Inc. every since her 2nd album! Hopefully her next album will be as strong as her debut as that was her best album by far!
