I think the problem was Kanye. He did good job in US, but outside of US he ruined the song.

In my country E.T. is her lowest-charting song. Even Thinking of You was bigger.

E.T wasn't diffused a lot on radios here, in France.

In my country they've only played solo version of E.T.

I actually heard the solo version a lot here in America, about as much as the Kanye version. A lot of stations that censor a lot of stuff just played the solo version instead of censoring Kanye's curse words and such.
