General public has already love some of the album previous singles and when MTN comes out in which some of them like the song, they will have more interest to buy the album instead of the single. Plus 2 millions of them already owned the album will affect MTN sales.
I can't say I'm surprised that Gaga has climbed so high in the album chart, however. It seems that artists like Gaga always do very well in the post-Christmas period. I remember she was top 10 for months in 2010!
