The album thriller was the one that generated all of his biggest, most iconic hits, Thriller, Billie Jean, Beat it are all much more of his signature songs. Although Bad and MITM are very well known too

Just wait 20 yrs and see if all of the singles from teenage dream will be as memorable...it probably will because currently she doesn't have much under her catalog like MJ did before the bad era

From my understanding, the Bad singles didn't have much longevity in the top ten, which could account for why his year-end positions weren't that great.
