PRICK.
Anyway, the album is, well, let me break it down.
The tracks I downloaded so far are the following:
Twisted
Gonna Tell Everybody
Who's Gonna Ride feat. Three 6 Mafia
So Amazin' feat. The dude who's screwing & using her
Hot Boy feat. The dude who's screwing & using her
Foolin'
My Lovin' Goes
Just A Little Bit
Wind You Up
-The bolded ones are excellent, single worthy tracks. They are all classy R&B songs (minus "Who's Gonna Ride" and most of them have crossover appeal.
-The italicized one (Foolin') does absolutely nothing for me.
-The underlined ones should be taken off the album. I'll admit, "So Amazin" & "Hot Boy" have excellent beats but lyrically, they're ghetto **** anthems. Every bit of innocence you thought Milian once had will be ridden from your mind once you hear these tracks. Quite dissapointing.
From what I can see on other forums, people either like album alot or hate due to a couple of reasons. They either feel that using Cool & Dre for the entire album was a big mistake since, in their opinion, the tracks all sound alike or they feel Milian is not being true to herself by making an album that seems to be "street" or "ghetto". I have to agree with latter but I will be buying the album because it's a good album from what I've heard so far.
EDIT - WOW, the tracks I dislike are already growing on me. Despite it's ghettoness, "So Amazin" is a great track that could become a big club banga'. "Foolin" & "Wind You Up" are good after a few listens as well, especially WYU. "Hot Boy" is still ASS to me though...
I can actually see this album doing well but the fact of the matter is Milian never gets support from her label. There is always a great debut single that gets alot of buzz but a horribly promoted album and a lack of interest in the 2nd single though "When You Look At Me" is her greatest song off her debut and it was huge outside of America.
IF there is more than one or two singles released, I'd liek the order to go like this:
1st - Say I
2nd - Twisted
3rd - So Amazin
4th - Just A Little Bit/Gonna Tell Everybody/My Lovin' Goes
Oh and the best track on this album has to be "Who's Gonna Ride" feat. Three 6 Mafia because it's probably the most REAL track on her album.
