Tool don't have to learn anything from anybody, and I'm quite certain that "Vicarious" isn't indicative of what the rest of the album sounds like. I really don't think every song will end up sounding alike. People like you are quick to make judgements all the f‘cking time. I remember when Filter released "Take a Picture" as a single and everyone assumed the whole album would sound like that one song. Hm...no. There's nothing wrong with releasing a more melodic song when you're a hard rock band, but don't get excited and expect to hear similar songs...
A Perfect Circle is a whole different band. Quit being an idiot. That's like saying Deftones should take inspiration from Team Sleep. And let's hope rock radio is smart enough to give "Vicarious" the airplay it deserves.
