Now, which of those 3 had longevity?

The song is amazing, but not all songs that are the best can make it.
Judas, for example, along with Marry the Night. Good songs, bad charting (Compared to previous chartings for Gaga).
HML may crack top 10, but it sure as Hell won't get to the top 5.

Almost a flop during the previous era, A miracle this era

The problem with Gaga is not that her music "sucks", it's that it's different. Not different like it's indie or whatever, different as in it's dance and dance has never been popular on the radio. It was a freak accident that Just Dance and PF blew up and then Bad Romance. She will always have a hard time on radio as long as she continues to make dance music. The radio wants pop music. Bubble pop, feel good pop, etc.

Not exactly.
She's always been a Pop staple until recently.
Rihanna/Beyonce have Rhythmic support. Gaga had some Rhythmic support, but she was never a top 10 Rhythmic artist.
Katy became a HAC/AC staple since the commencement of the TD era because she's an easy popstar to like, and with material like TD, of course she was going to get support from those formats.
Gaga has only recently been able to establish herself as an artist on HAC/AC, but she's slipped a lot on Pop, the format that used to embrace her with open arms with any single. Rhythmic has completely abandoned her.
She now has to figure out how to repair that disconnect, and she's going to have to try to make herself appealing to all of those formats before she sees success like her contemporaries.

HML isn't catchy, isn't radio friendly and isn't even that good. I don't understand how some of you want it to be a single.

I said radio. Unlike people like Adele, Katy, Rihanna, Gaga's songs are never picked up by more than one format at a time. We're never going to get another number at this point. When pop gets done with her, another format picks up. It's annoying.

What the hell? A video does A LOT to a song if you haven't noticed yet. Best example is BR, it wasn't even in the ****ing Top 10 before its video.
If TEOG had an epic mermaid ( ) video it would've smashed all over the world and that is a fact, especially since it already smashed without such a video. It could've been easily #1 and that song is far from being dated, it is one of her best songs ever.
And I wanna see how and where exactly it failed because last time I checked that song was one of her biggest hits in Germany, is the song that was able to make her finally being played on HAC and AC, is one of her biggest airplay hits WW and is the title song of some series.
Not here for such lies.

This is about as delusional as saying Blood Mary will make #1, or even #50.

BTW didn't climb too though. I am really confident there are other songs, too. And you never said it had to climb its way up.

Co-sign.
The Edge of Glory is still hanging on to #19 on AC, and it's been on the chart for 198 days.

I can definitely see it getting some plays on radio, because it's chilly. But I agree, it's not that good, it's repetitive and gets boring.
