Does anyone have an MP3 of this song? It's pretty much the same thing as "Hips Don't Lie" but released first. It's Wyclef and Claudette Ortiz from City High. It's on the soundtrack for Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights. I think it's kind of ridiculous that Shaki did this whole rerelease thing anyway but it's kind of worse that it's for a preexisting song. Meh.

also claudettes vocals are weak >.< .............. the music from the original is wack ( cant really dance to it) when is suppost to be a dance track.. shakira's version killed the original by miles... being honest not just being a fan

also Shakira successfully did what the likes of J. Lo and Mariah have always failed to do when collaborated, she made Wyclef Jean assimilate to HER style of music, as opposed to her doing a hip hop number. A Latin-sounding booty-shaking fun track. and not just covering the original instrumental

Every song you listed was made at least 15 years after and by different people. Except for the Pussycat Dolls, and they kind of stole Tori Alamze's career. "Hips Don't Lie" is "Dance Like this" with Shakira's vocals. It's okay, I like Wyclef's second version better.

Also I can't remember any specific details, but "Rich Girl" was originally recorded by some other chick who was dropped by her label before anything other than a promo single was released. Gwen took it, juiced it up with Dr. Dre and changed some lyrics, but even the "If I was a rich girl, na na na na na na na na... etc." was from that original. Still, I don't appreciate Gwen's version any less. Same goes with "Hips Don't Lie" and all others like it!
