Are you guilty of being materialistic? Do you love having lots of money? Do you love having expensive things? such as wearing expensive name brand shoes and clothes? People who are materialistic are more concerned with material wealth and possessions. If you are materialistic, please explain why. If you aren't how what is your opinion on people who are materialistic.
Here are my thoughts.
I don't consider my myself being materialistic. I like to buy stuff but I don't care if it's cheap or expensive. I never understood the whole "name brand thing" when it comes to shoes and clothes. You can't take the **** to you to the grave. I don't care where I get my clothes from. To me clothes are clothes. I believe it's more about putting the look together.
I think there is nothing wrong with having material things, nothing wrong with making them, selling them or buying them. I think the problem lies in the 'desire' to have something. This makes people buy things they that they really don't need. It becomes a problem with "enough is not enough".
On one note I want materialistic stuff but am I willing to pay for it? No. But on another note I think being a hypebeast is ridiculous and a bit attention seeking, so that also makes me stray form name-brand stuff.
It think in some way everybody are materialistic. Some peoples more than other. I'm materialistic 'cause I like have materials things but is not imprescindible in my life. I prefer a material thing always when I have 'cause is really useful or 'cause a people give to you 'cause he/she thought of you.
I used to be but not anymore. I'm more into knowledge The things i spend money on are like books and educational documentaries, I want to know everything I'm obsessed with world news as long as i have a computer and cable i'm satisfied.
I'm extremely materialistic, now that I think about it. Money is third on the list of things I love, after family and friends. It's almost impossible for me to buy clothes that aren't name brand. It's not that I'm stuck up. I'm grateful for everything I have and I know it doesn't matter in the end, but that's the thing. If you only live once, why not go all out?
I like things, but I won't die or have a breakdown if I don't get them. I really want an iPad or a Motorola Xoom, but seeming as my bank account is a few hundred short from any of those, I will survive with them...for the time being.
Not really. I'm more likely to spend money on food than anything else.
Clothes, gadgets, etc. don't really do anything for me. I'm generally content (complacent?) with what I have, though I've been fortunate enough to have never really experienced want.
