She wanted AYWR as the first single from the album, and we all know that if AYWR was given an adds date it would've smashed, but HWR decided to go with R&R. Selena also wanted OTC and RG as the next singles. She never said anything about wanting R&R as the single, and especially not the lead single.
With this album she chose all 3 singles and it's clear that her single choices were great yet again.
If they were to give her a 4th single it'd be between BBB and WOTN since she was considering them as the 3rd single and something tells me she would choose WOTN.
Selena knows what's best for her career, if only HWR would listen to her more often
