I think a big problem here is that she's released a lead off single thats not her usual sound. I suspect its been bought mostly by casual fairweather fans. Dance/Calvin fans. But it hasnt encouraged them to buy her whole album. That may have been a mistake in hindsight...but then again its been an enormous hit so..I dunno.
Either way I dont think her next song is a great choice. But I still see her selling well throughout the year 2012. She's pretty high profile and always in the mix. Plus she's proven that she can suffer a flop and bounce right back.
It will all hinge upon if Def Jam is stupid enough to kill YDO early (which they will do, I can almost guarantee it) and how much they utilize her lack of tour to promote.
Talk That Talk and Where Have You Been will be hits, no doubt, but that doesn't guarantee album sales.
Talk That Talk is selling better than Loud worldwide... so far with less promo, what exactly are you talking about? US is not the whole world you know.

I didn't read that part, but it will be at like 500K (gold) at the end of the year with 2 singles and not much promo so that's great, she wil definitely reach over a million in the long run.
