If she doesn't get him on her album (which I think is unlikely) Kanye should definitely collab with her on his next record! If he can make a Bon Iver collaboration not sound crazy, than he can work it with Lana.
It's MUCH less of a stretch than Justin Vernon. Lana's voice was ****ing MADE for hip-hop hooks. I too doubt Kanye will be on the album, but if they don't release National Anthem as a single with SOMEONE rapping on it...not even in a "desperate" way, that beat just NEEDS someone to go in on it.
It's actually much better news than that - that chart is the whole of music chart on Amazon, which obviously includes all the already released stuff. Make no mistake, this is an AMAZING position to be on that chart when there are still 5 weeks to go until release (an example, at the same time from release Arctic Monkey's debut album wasn't this high and that went on to beat the debut album sales record!). On the future release charts (i.e. pre-order) she's a clear #1. I tell you, the opening numbers on this album in the UK are going to make some people who aren't in our loop go: WTF??

I haven't heard National Anthem yet! I'm waiting for an official release/the album gets released. But her voice is absolutely made for hip-hop hooks. I can see her working with Lupe, Andre, Kanye, A$AP Rocky... at least that's who I want her to work with! Also, a collab with The Weeknd would be sublime.

Anyway, I've been listening to Lana for a couple hours straight and Video Games is just too amazing for words. Definitely on my 2011 Top 5 Singles list.

Same here! Have you listened to any of her old material?

I have, actually. I kind of spent an entire day looking up her old songs on YouTube
I love Kinda Outta Luck - I think this can be a masterpiece when the final productions are completed, and I posted that they should remove Diet Mtn Dew from the tracklist and replace it with KOL. I also like Gramma and On Our Way from that unreleased album.
I also looked up the live performances of the confirmed tracks for the album and they're gonna sound awesome in CDQ! At this rate, there isn't going to be one bad song on the album
Ok I really want to get into Lana...
I have: Video Games, Born to Die, Off to the Races (my personal favorite), National Anthem, Driving in Cars with Boys, and You Can Be the Boss.
Any other songs I should look up that's good by her?
