Adventureland is a film directed by Greg Mottola( The director of Superbad), and released in April 2009. This movie is one of my favorite coming of age stories in recent memory. The film escapes the cliche of other coming of ages stories by truly centering on the love between two college students, who take below standard jobs at a team park. Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart shine as the leads, and they have amazing on screen chemistry.
The only criticism I have of this movie is the marketing. This movie was marketed as some sort of "Superbad" rehash comedic romp, when it was anything but. The movie was a sentimental semi autobiographic retelling of the directors experience.

Mysterious Skin
Next movie
I just recently watched Mysterious Skin and it made me cry. The movie tackle pedophilia which is an extremely tough subject. I almost stopped the film twice. The movie is well acted Joseph Gordon Levitt is brilliant as well Brady Corbet (even though he has no dream to mainstream into Hollywood he could easily do it). Overall a great movie and I recommend it to anyone who wants to watch. I wont delve into the film because it is extremely graphic info.
It's a cute movie, but the lame happy ending is so unecessary. They already had the perfect ending and then they went ahead with that cheesy NYC scene anyway. It doesn't ruin the movie though, but it always annoyed me.
