Kelly Clarkson Doing Summer Tour *dates inside*
It's Your Turn To Scream 'Kelly Clarkson!' This Summer
Kelly Clarkson is addicted. The past two years' Breakaway pop star is supposed to be working on her third record ), but she just can't seem to stay off the road.
Clarkson announced Thursday (April 13) she will headline a 24-city amphitheater trek this summer aptly titled the Addicted Tour.
The singer, who also has a song called "Addicted," will launch the outing June 30 in West Palm Beach, Florida, and wrap it up August 6 in Auburn, Washington, according to her spokesperson.
Along with treating fans to tunes from her previous albums — the latter of which, Breakaway, has sold 10 million copies worldwide — Clarkson will preview some new material.
Tickets go on sale April 22 with a select number of premium seats for each show going up for auction on Ticketmaster.com. For each ticket auctioned, $10 will go to the Komen Race for the Cure breast cancer initiative.
In August, Clarkson will return to the studio to finish her third record and continue to shoot for a late 2006 or early 2007 release.
Breakaway earned the inaugural "American Idol" winner two Grammys and has spent 71 weeks in the top 30 of the Billboard albums chart.

oooh The Burgettstown, PA date is only a little more than two hours from my house! 
I want to go.
hm. My mom wants to go to Ozzfest, and it's there the day before the Kelly concert... maybe I can talk her into paying for a couple of hotel rooms, one for me and a friend, and one for her and one of her friends. Hrm.

as much as I like Kelly, I really think she needs to take a break from touring and rest her voice.... we don't want her to overwork her vocal chords and for them to be irritated by the time the 3rd album hits

I think a "closing out" tour is a great idea. Especially since the album was so successful.
And really, she only toured N. America once so far with this record. Usually there's at least 2 rounds for an album this big.

you're right about that, i'm just saying i'm worried about her voice, because it seems like she's always on tour somewhere, and i just don't want her voice to be strained when it comes time to promote the new album.... as much as i want a new Kelly album, maybe she should wait til Mid- 2007 to release it, to let her voice rest a little....

awesome. i hope i can go to the west palm beach one, its like 1 1/2 hours away. since it's called the "Addicted" Tour, maybe it's a sign she might release the track. I mean it'd be stupid to call it that and not even have the song as a single.

I really want to go to the 7/3 date at the Alltel Pavilion in Raleigh, N.C. It's only 30 minutes away from my house and I saw Avril there. But i'll be in Penn. at the time

like I said, she IS on vacation now, and she is off tour until June.
Although it would be preferable for her to work on her album stuff instead of another tour, but she's using this tour to preview new stuff.
