I'm kind of glad that she isn't so massive. These days, she's kind of like the underdog or the queen of the underground pop-dance scene. It's what makes her intriguing. She's not a sell out. She just makes great music.

I remember I added that song when it leaked (2010) to my gym's playlist and everyone was going crazy over it

I doubt it to be honest. I just think the public doesn't give a **** about Kelis anymore, well not in the US atleast. Acapella did well in the UK and Europe, it was the best choice and most commercial choice for lead single. I think she has a higher chance at success in the UK now after she reached #1 with Bounce. She needs to promote her next era.
