makeup companies setting unrealistic expectations for women.

I haven't seen the commercial but yah, they could sue for false advertising and such.
Of course, lots of companies exaggerate their products, but I am guessing CoverGirl wants to cover their butts.

i read something where people are trying to get magazines to label pictures with notices (aka warnings) for those that use excessive photoshop.

I don't think there should be warnings. People shouldn't be so guillable into thinking that some product is going to pimp out your lashes like that.

To get them really high and exaggerated - just zigzag and move the wand side to side while going up. It will give the illusion of fuller lashes. I've done this with many different brands. They're all the same. Even MAC and Covergirl.

i wasnt just talking about makeup ads. im talking about all magazine photos. they make the girls seem skinner, have bigger lips, more muscle tone etc etc. they set unrealistic standards for women but more importantly teen girls who are more impressionable.

duh the media sets false expectations about beauty in general. i dont see what the big deal is now!

and some markets slogans are unrealistic such as burger king "have it your way" or whatever. i cant realistically have it my way because some things are impractical. yes i know slogans are different from claims legally but still.

false advertising in a makeup campaign? really? didn't we already assume the claims weren't 100% true?
