Wow, stop trying to target me in every thread. Seriously guys, I wasn't even talking to you. And this show is really, really unrealistic. I've never heard of someone that got raped then she wants to go out with a teacher, then she may have a lesbian 'crush' over Alex... I mean, you know in the four years of high school, I couldn't imagine going through all that!!!

I'm just saying that half of the episodes could go in a chick flick or some kind of girl movie, because half of the episodes talk about girls problems (ie Emma having her period, Manny being drunk and stripping in front of a camera, Paige being raped, Marco being gay, etc.)

I can't believe I'm being targetted for my own views, jeez, maybe if you try to explain yourself rather then call me a dumb---- then maybe I'll understand exactly why you're targetting me. Other then that, those are the reasons why I think this show is meant for that kind of audience. And even if the show is here to show us what kinds of things may happen, it won't happen entirely at the SAME school. Sorry?

i think that the show does not try to be all realistic... it's kind of a drama... and what they try to show us is how to deal with problems...
don't focus only on paige problems... i mean, she goes through many things on Degrassi but that does not mean that the same person is gonna have all of those problems in real life... it's just a tv show!

And Will, shows like this one, the original Degrassi, the first 2 seasons of BVH 90210, Saved By The Bell, anything that was on Teen NBC, and a long list of other programs are targeted at *all* teens for the main purpose of learning. Teen-based shows are the 2nd coming of after school PSAs.
