Good points, and very logical response. It's a win-win situation for both the label and the artist. More money for Capitol, and more records for Katy. Billboard is simply a popularity chart. I don't understand why people rant when someone doesn't get #1s. The charts simply tell us which songs/albums are currently at the top at a certain period of time.
I thought it was a great response. And death at people saying this was shade and they were trying to discredit her success. Always looking for something. Great points though.
What I'm saying is that Katy is no more of an artist than Michael Jackson or anyone else in music because she has more #1s from a single album. That's my only point. You're extrapolating that I'm saying that Katy is stupid because she hasn't made enough of an impact in three years.
The article is clearly shading Katy (and her stans) by thinking that breaking this record actually means anything for Katy as an artist.
