It's finally time to start this ****.
First, I'd like to apologize in advance cause this year I won't have the big graphics I always try to design. My creativity is long gone and those are actually pretty last minute and idea pretty much stolen from my countdown's last layout I've made.
Second, I always try to list at least 20 albums here, but this year I only would like to give spotlight to 15 great albums that in some way captured me this year. Not that I didn't listen to any other ones, I have, but none of them except for 15 got me like these.
By the way I'll have to apologize in advance to
Japoy for stealing his
post format. haha

So, Daughtry is back with their third studio album tittled "Break The Spell". For the third time, the band managed to deliver a collection of flawless Pop/Rock tracks. And if people complained about the fact that Leave This Town was too popish, Daughtry made up for that with this album. Their sound is definitely a little bit heavier this time around, and they surely made that clear as soon as they released the promo single Renegade, that many thought it was a little too rockish for pop radio (not that they are embracing Crawling Back To You either).
They seem to never disappoint. I couldn't even choose favorite songs for this album for two reasons. The first is that I haven't had enough time to listen to it since I only got it a few weeks ago and the second one is because I still can't tell the songs apart, not because they might sound a little similar, but because they are all great.
"Break The Spell" might not have the big hit as their other two albums had to open up the album to the big audiences, but in no way it lacks anything when compared to their previous efforts. Defintely a great effort from them.

After a massive era with I Am... Sasha Fierce album, this must have been one of if not the most anticipated album of the year. Beyoncé took a long break from the media and put a lot of effort into making this albumn and it was also (if I'm not mistaken) the longest she has spent producing an album. She made sure everything was going to come out exactly as she wanted the album to be, and for the big surprise of the public, the album came out nothing like we would've expected, with a lot of influences and element I can't even name that absolutely blew everyone away. And despite the commercial performance of the singles, the album still managed to sell big. I can't even imagine how bigger this album would've been had it had a big hit to support it. The album still doesn't touch the perfection that Dangerously In Love is, which still remains by far my favorite Beyoncé album and era by far, but it's still a great era for Beyoncé. Not to mention the baby.

"I Remember Me", the much anticipated second album by the R&B/Soul singer. After everything that had happened to her, family tragedies, marriage and a baby, Jennifer got back to the studio to record a brand new album. Despite this album not being that much different from her self-titled debut album, it's definitely a great improvement, vocally and lyrically (even though my favorite song from her is still If This Isn't Love from her debut). If I could change only one thing about her, I would make her record a couple of more commercial songs for her albums, because as much as her album are good, they still lack on the hits, and I really wish she had some, because this woman has a very unique talent and she deserves to shine more than just having some Urban AC top 10 hits.
