To the average parent, stanning might come off as being "obsessive." We all know it's not but that doesn't stop them from judging you. My mother is aware that I am a BIG FAN of Bey and Chris and that I use twitter to socialize with other Bey and Chris fans. However, she doesn't know that I actually drag stand up for them and end up in "stan wars" online, she doesn't know I talk about "who sold more of what" and she doesn't know I say things like "X ***** on Y and Z's career."
Does your family know that you are a stan?
Do they know that you come online and defend your fave to the extreme sometimes?
What would they say if they found out?
Are there other "stans" in your family that opposes your fave and causes a dispute?
One time my dad commented positively on a Britney song on the radio and I told him that she is a *****-tittied fat **** ***** with ***** and no creative control and that Gaga's career ***** all over hers, while dragging at his hair and calling it a weave.
I don't live with my parents anymore so my stanning doesn't bother them or affect them. However, when I did, they would only ever express irritation when I'd purchase multiple copies of albums, for example.
Yes, and she became a Gaga stan herself. Not online or anything, but when I visit and we watch award shows and the like she just says her shady things when she sees others on tv.

It was awkward.
why would you say that to your dad about anyone, let alone someone you dont even know??
The last time I visited my parents, my mum and I got into a stan war. She's one of the most delusional Gaga stans on this planet, so as you all can presume, I had to pull out the big guns when she started to shade Rihanna. She even went as far as to claim that Gaga is better than Madonna. She was consequently dragged through the mud.
