If they were FANS they'd continue to vote because they like him as an artist, wouldn't they?
I'm not gonna f‘cking lie, I like a Mandy Moore song, but I'm not a fan of her. I'm a fan of P.O.D., and even though they just released a lackluster song ("Lights Out") that isn't exactly one of my favorites on Testify, I'd still vote for it because it's P.O.D.. People can vote for the video even if they're not a fan, I don't give a **** and I'm not saying they can't, I'm just saying that if Ne-Yo has enough fans who bought his CD to put it at #1 on Billboard, and they don't
just like "So Sick" because it's popular, he shouldn't be so low. Hell,
nobody should be lower than #1 when some boy band reject is sitting atop that position. O-Town? Who cares? (The record label Ashley Parker Angel is on that's sending TRL evelopes full of money, that's who.)
Hm...Okay. Times and people change, of course, and so does the Goddamn reason as to why Total
Request Live even exists: Carson Daly. It used to be about the 3 V's: Variety, votes, and videos. Variety? There is barely any variety. Even "Bat Country," a rock song with guitar solos and such, has a pop feel to it (especially that one part.) Votes? Ha! There is no proof whatsoever that votes are even counted. Videos? You're ******** me. All they do is play less than 2 minutes of the average 3:30-long video, sometimes less than a minute or A FEW SECONDS WHILE IT'S BEING TALKED OVER (Um..."Goodbye for Now" anyone?) Even brand new videos get the unfair treatment of a "First Look" or a "Click 2 Pick," no matter how legendary the artist is to TRL (Limp Bizkit's "Behind Blue Eyes," Korn's "Twisted Transistor," Madonna's "Sorry," Black Eyed Peas' "Pump It." What's next, Eminem's "Shake That"?) Oh, and that On Deck ******** is pointless. If you're gonna show us five extra videos, do it everyday. Before I leave you to think about SOME OF the truths I've just told you about TRL, check this out:
January:
5
February:
3 (Top 20 episode included)
March:
1
9. That's how many times they've shown On Deck since the beginning of the year, as opposed to the time they have for the endless number of stupidass games and segments they have on the show, usually with non-musical guests, some that are completely irrelevant nowadays. Notice a pattern? It's impossible to have -1 On Decks, so I wonder what's gonna happen?
OH NO, I HAVE NO LIFE BECAUSE I TOOK 5 MINUTES OF MY TIME TO COUNT THE NUMBER OF ON DECKS FOR EACH MONTH SO FAR. I'm only being real here, but it pisses people off oh-so much (Hi, luisedo! How are you?) If you don't like what I have to say, you have two options: put me on ignore, or kiss my hairy part-Cuban ass. I really don't care what you do either way, but I'd prefer the second instance.
