I guess I have to see it again. I have it on DVD. HOnestly, I felt asleep the first time I saw it. But I have to say, my favorite part of the movie is when they went to the restaurant together. I think one of those hot-pots place. BAsically, all the options looks the same. I am pretty sure they are different in ingredients, but for the view points, they look exactly the same. Then both of them just pick one and said "That one, I don't care." That just hilirious.
You should watch it again. Its not a concrete, straight forward movie. The themes and what the director is trying to convey is not overtly expressed. Its much more abstract than mainstream movies and actually requires some work on the audiences part hence it not being mainstream. But its so good.
The lack of dialogue and the blank stares etc... are done for reasons and aren't just an attempt at being artsy or deep.
Maybe you just haven't been through a similar experience but I definitely got the directors intent and it is really wonderfully done.
I enjoyed it. It felt like one big daze/dream of a futuristic city. It was a pretty amazing experience seeing it in theaters. So calming to watch, just watching these two people interact for an hour or more.
